Tauranga (NZ) horses tips & previews

Get set for race three at Tauranga, the Tauranga Crossing Fashions In The Field Mdn over 1400m, jumping at 11:39 am AEDT. The win market jumps off the page with Royal Assett leading the charge at the top of the order, closely followed by High Goal, Gigi's Prayer, and Vodka And Caviar rounding out the leading quartet in the betting order. This 1400m maiden clash at Tauranga brings together a handy field of runners ready to battle it out over the trip.

Taking a closer look at the form behind those shorter prices, the numbers say the R James and R Wellwood stable holds a strong hand with their runners. High Goal jumps from barrier four with Masahiro Hashizume in the saddle, bringing a competitive edge to the race. Stablemate Gigi's Prayer is drawn in barrier ten with George Rooke steering, adding plenty of interest to the preview. Meanwhile, market leader Royal Assett starts from barrier nine with Matthew Cartwright aboard for trainer S B Marsh, while Vodka And Caviar steps out from barrier seven for trainer Ms K A Hoskin with Samantha Collett taking the ride.

Digging deeper into the race shape, runners like Workout from barrier one with Michael Mc Nab for trainers Conor and Sarah Fahy look to make their presence felt from the inside alley. Over on the outside, Whistlejacket jumps from barrier twelve with Joe Doyle for Ms P Gerard. With plenty of depth across the field and several runners shaping up nicely, this maiden contest rates a real chance for a few different contenders to figure in the finish.
